Technical-Scientific Committee

Chaired by Rafael Patron, the Technical-Scientific Committee oversees the methodological validity and scientific coherence of the association's work. It is one of the four bodies set out in article 6 of the Statute, alongside the President, the Board and the Members' Assembly. Federico Pichetto serves as Vice President of the Committee.

Activity

What the Committee does

The Committee draws up guidelines, ethical standards and professional good practice for the artificial intelligence community, and reviews the quality of the projects the association promotes.

It supports the continuing education of members and puts forward proposals on collaborations, funding calls and regulatory measures, working alongside the association in its relations with institutions, universities and companies.

Core functions

  • Professional ethics

    Developing and maintaining the Code of Ethics and the professional guidelines for members, with demanding standards of integrity and responsibility.

  • Specialist training

    Coordinating advanced training programmes and qualification pathways for artificial intelligence professionals, raising the level of preparation across the membership.

  • Research and policy

    Proposing research projects, studies and observations on regulatory measures, in dialogue with universities and European institutions.

The Committee works so that members' competences are recognisable and verifiable, within a defined ethical and professional framework.
