AIPIA is an independent, non-profit Italian professional association for AI practitioners, an interlocutor for institutions, media, and academia: a participant in the European AI Alliance and an Official Endorser of the Rome Call for AI Ethics. Its STC President trained at Harvard (CS50 AI) and continues with MIT Professional Education. Italy is the EU's third-largest economy and a key hub for manufacturing, fashion, healthcare, and fintech innovation. AIPIA is an institutional entry point to the Italian AI sector.

Training with the European credential included

Practitioner-led continuous training across machine learning, prompt engineering, generative AI, and enterprise automation. Qualifying programmes award the European Digital Credential, the European Commission's official format, verifiable across the EU with an eIDAS seal. Courses are delivered today in Italian; the first English and Spanish editions are in preparation: contact the secretariat for dates.

AIPIA is a transatlantic connection node. Its Scientific-Technical Committee (STC) President, Rafael Patron, has worked across Italy, the UK, the UAE, Boston, and Latin America; he trained at Harvard (CS50 AI) and continues with MIT Professional Education. For practitioners in London, Boston, San Francisco, Dubai, or Singapore, AIPIA offers direct institutional access to the European AI landscape.

AIPIA is the first AI association in Italy to award European Digital Credentials, the European Commission's official format. Not a PDF: a document with EU-wide legal validity, sealed with eIDAS and stored in the Europass wallet for instant verification across the Union.

AI-specific coverage for the AI Act era

AIPIA has partnered with a leading insurtech to offer members professional liability insurance built for AI practitioners. Algorithmic bias, LLM-related GDPR violations, automation errors, output liability: the policy covers them all. The policy is Italian and is today reserved for members in Italy.

Questions before you join

Can I join if I don't live in Italy?

Yes. Membership is open worldwide. Registration and support are available in English.

Is the credential legally valid outside Italy?

The European Digital Credential carries an eIDAS electronic seal and is valid across the EU. Outside the EU it is a verifiable proof of competence aligned with the European e-Competence Framework.

What does membership cost?

€24 per year for individual membership: digital membership card, public member directory, European institutional representation, newsletter and voting rights in the assembly. Courses, the European credential and the liability insurance are separate. Corporate tiers are separate.

Do I need to speak Italian?

Registration and member support are available in English. Courses are delivered today in Italian; the first English editions are in preparation: contact the secretariat for dates.

How is AIPIA different from an online course platform?

AIPIA is a professional association recognised under Italian Law 4/2013: membership, credential, liability insurance access (for members in Italy) and institutional representation, not just training.
