OID of AIPIA: Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps

The Organisation ID is the code with which the European Commission identifies an organisation in the Organisation Registration System of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. The Italian Association of Artificial Intelligence Professionals is registered there. This page explains what the OID is, how it differs from the PIC, what it is for and what it does not mean.

What the OID is

The OID, Organisation ID, is the alphanumeric code beginning with the letter E that identifies an organisation in the Organisation Registration System (ORS), the register managed by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) for the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps actions managed by the national agencies. An organisation has one OID only and states it in every application.

OID and PIC in three lines: the OID lives in the Organisation Registration System and serves the decentralised actions of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps; the PIC lives in the Participant Register of the Funding & Tenders Portal and serves the centralised actions of the European programmes; they are two registers of the same Commission, with different purposes, and AIPIA has both codes.

Who issues it and what it is for

The OID is issued after the registration of the organisation in the Organisation Registration System of the European Commission. It serves to appear as applicant or partner in an Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps application, for example in the cooperation partnerships in adult education, where professional training on artificial intelligence has its place: without the code the application cannot be completed.

Having it is a technical prerequisite, not an application submitted nor approved.

With the public search of organisations on the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps website, by code or by name

Last check: 4 September 2026. Checks are repeated by an internal procedure, not on an automatic schedule: the date says when a probe actually looked.

The same data, with the same date, lives in the Identity and identifiers registry on aipia.it (in Italian) and on the Italian page of this register entry: every surface reads the same source.

What this page does not claim

The OID does not amount to an approved project or to funding, and it is not an accreditation: it identifies the organisation in the register of Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps organisations. AIPIA does not declare approved Erasmus+ projects. AIPIA's verifiable memberships and identifiers are in the Identity and identifiers registry on aipia.it; the association's figures are on the AIPIA in numbers page (in Italian).

Frequently asked questions

Questions and answers

What is the OID?

The OID, Organisation ID, is the alphanumeric code beginning with the letter E that identifies an organisation in the Organisation Registration System of the European Commission, the register used for the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps actions managed by the national agencies: whoever wants to take part in a project in these actions must have it. It is issued after the registration of the organisation in the system. An organisation has one OID only.

What is AIPIA's OID?

AIPIA's OID is E10440358, registered in the Organisation Registration System of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps and published in the association's internal registry of identifiers with the source and the date of the check; the same code appears on the Documents and identification data page of aipia.it and in the organisation's JSON-LD. The code is verified with the public search of the system. Every surface reads the same source.

What is the difference between OID and PIC?

The OID identifies AIPIA in the Organisation Registration System for the decentralised actions of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps, managed by the national agencies, while the PIC identifies it in the Participant Register of the Funding & Tenders Portal for the centralised actions of the European programmes: same Commission, two registers with different purposes. AIPIA has both codes. Neither amounts to funding.

Does the OID amount to an approved project or to funding?

No: the OID identifies the organisation in the register and entails no approved project, no funding and no accreditation; to take part in an Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps action an application must be submitted to the competent national agency, which assesses it according to the rules of the programme. AIPIA does not declare approved Erasmus+ projects. The register says who it is, not what it has obtained.

What is the OID for, for a professional association?

The OID allows an association to appear as applicant or partner in an Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps application, for example in the cooperation partnerships in adult education, where professional training on artificial intelligence has its place: without the code the application cannot even be completed. Having it is a technical prerequisite. It is not an application submitted.

How is AIPIA's OID verified?

The OID is verified with the public search of organisations on the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps website of the European Commission, entering the code E10440358 or the name of the association: the result shows name, country and registration status. AIPIA's internal registry carries the date of the last check. The two sources say the same thing.

An identifiable organisation, everywhere

AIPIA's identifiers are public and verifiable at source. Those who work with artificial intelligence can be part of the association.
