Josefina Strano-Lage is AIPIA’s Director of Legal & Institutional Relations. She has served on the Technical-Scientific Committee since 1 September 2026.
On the Committee she covers legal matters and the association’s relationship with institutions. Both run through much of its work, from the documents governing association life to the forums where the rules for artificial intelligence are discussed.
Legal affairs and institutional relations
The legal affairs directorate covers the association’s acts and documents and the application of the regulatory framework within which a professional association operates under Italian Law 4/2013. Institutional relations concern dialogue with public bodies, universities and administrations.
The Technical-Scientific Committee holds no powers of representation: legal representation of the association rests with the President under the Statute. The Committee’s contribution is technical and methodological, and within that perimeter legal expertise serves to keep what the association states and what it may state in line with each other.
